Hi Bruno, I'm back again with what I think is another piece of the puzzle. I have attached what I think is the baptism record of Jean Baptiste Boutin, born in 1798, son of Jean Baptiste and Ursule Marceau (spelled ? Marseaud in the record).

Kyla

Quite an enigma; since Jean-Baptiste1 's father(who also had Jean-Baptiste as first name) got married in 1796, it is logic to think that he may had a son born two years later(Jean-Baptiste1 or 2.
Hi Bruno,

So glad to hear from you. I have one more piece of the puzzle that I forgot to mention. I found a burial record for what appears to be Jean Baptiste (1) in St-Vallier. I have attached it. The J.B. in the burial record died in 1885 at age 87. It looks like it says his spouse was Marie Thibeau.

Also, is there any record of who Louise Hinse's parents are?

Thanks Very Much,
Kyla Sandberg
Haverhill, MA
In my opinion, the Jean Baptiste you refer to in the cessuses is the same person as, at that time, responsibles for the census, sometimes did not even bother visit families; they noted what they think it was like the ages of persons. The records we have seem to be accurate as the dates of marriage for other children of Jean Baptiste(1st) are around 1850 and children of Jean Baptiste (2) got married between 1880 and 1893 so it makes sens. It is also not probable that Jean Baptiste(1) who got married in 1821 with Louise Hinse would have had a daughter who got married in 1893. We will keep searching....

Bruno Boutin
Boutin Association of America

Thanks for your reply to my post. I have been doing more reasearch on this Boutin line In the new census records that just came out on ancestry.com. I have found the family of Jean Baptiste and Marie Thibault. There is something very strange going on with the age of Jean Baptiste that is married to M. Thibault. The records from the Boutin Association is the same as you stated above. However, I believe that the Jean Baptiste that was married to Louise Hinse was later married to Marie Thibault and not his son.

1851 censua
Jean Baptiste age 43
Marie Thibault 18

1861 census
Jean Baptiste age 50
Marie Thibault 28

1871 census
Jean Baptiste age 72
Marie Boutin age 40

1881 census
Jean Baptiste Boutin age 84
Marie Boutin age 50

This is the same family in each census record because the children are the same. It looks like Jean Baptiste understated his age in the earlier records. His last child, Joseph Alphonse Boutin, was born in April 1874 and was found in the Drouin records.

I would like to hear what others think of this puzzle.
Thanks
Kyla
USA
Thanks S

Remember race was usually the call of the census taker so take it with a grain of salt. You can not tell on the 1910 one if they are coded W or M. My guess is as they use Mu elsewhere on that page so it is probably W.

Paul Le B
l'Ascension
Louisiane

-----Original Message-----
From: S

Paul,

See records below. I found the birth record for Rosita [Rosetta] and the 1880 census sows that the family was White.

I didn't find a birth record for Paul Boutin [Broutin]. The 1910 census index shows Black with White as an alternate. The census image is faded and
the race could be Mu or W.

Most likely Paul was an out-of-wedlock child and was given the mother's surname.

S
***
BOUTIN, Paul m. 7 April 1894 Rosita PATIN (SM Ct.
Hello cousins

I am Paul Le Blanc displaced from New Orleans area by Katherine to the (2nd) Acadian Coast of Louisiana.

My Guédry family & the early Acadian Boutins spent several generations together.

The families are on the East Coast of Acadie near present day Lunenburg NS. By 1752-54 they have moved to (French) Baie de Espanole on the northern tip of Cape Breton Island.

By this time Paul Boutin has married Urusla Guédry & his brother Charles married her sister MJ.

They & the wives sibs return to(English)Lunenburg.

In 1755 they are "captured" sent to Halifax. They are very likely part of the 50 Acadians sent to North Carolina.

We pick them up in Penn Maryland about 1763 Charles & MJ are gone & their children are with their uncle & aunt.

Paul, Ursula, their children, the orphans, her two younger brothers rejoin my ancestor and are part of the 600 Acadians who go from Penn/Maryland to Louisiana. One of Charles & MJ son stays and that family becomes the Buttons of Maryland.

The families first settle a few miles from here. They leave my ancestor on The Mississippi River and settled in the general area where the Paul we are working grew up.

Who has the stories of the other Acadian branches and other Boutin families? Anyone chase Boutins who ended up Boutons?

Paul Le Blanc
l'Ascension
Louisiane
Hi, I am the gg granddaughter of Ed and Charlotte Boutin. I tried to contact you through the Boutin Family Association but they came back.
What I'd like to know is when Ed and Charlotte were born, when they died, and how Ed is connected to A. Boutin. When was Theodore and Mary were born, married, and died, where she was from and who were their children?
The info I have to share with you is about Easton Earl Boutin. He was born is Bayfield Wi on April 5, 1884 to Theodore and Mary (Miles). He married Jane Siestreem in Dec 1917 in Coos County Oregon. They had 2 daughters Myrtle Leonilda and Lola Mary Jane. Easton died in Ab on March 25, 1951. They did live in Oregon for awhile. Easton was a fisherman and at the time of his death he was working for the City Of Aberdeen in the Street Dept.
Thank you in advance for any info. And if you require more of Easton and his descendants I'll do my best to answer them. Linnea

Hi, Thank you for the info. At least now I know who Edward Boutins father was. And maybe with that name I can go back farther and connect the dots. As for the rest of this family the info I have is very little.
Edward Boutin married Charlotte Allan, she was born in "York" (New York) abt 1859. She died April 4, 1906 in Marquette, Michigan. They had 10 children - Edward, Henry, Theodore, S.L, and Mrs Steve Brown of Bayfield Wi.; Walter, Mre T.F. Kintz and Mrs Warren Hicks of Duluth Wi.;
Mrs Wallace White of Marquette and Mrs J.M. Eston of Muskegon Mich.(taken from Charlotte's obituary)
Theodore married Mary Miles, unk date. I know they had at least four children Louis, Wesley, Stella, and my grandfather Easton Earl.
You have the info on Easton Earl that I have. His children with Jane were Mrytle Leonilda and Lola Mary Jane.
Mrytle was born July 24, 1921 and died May 15, 1971. I do not have that info for Lola.
Mrytle married Charles Moxley ukn date. That union resulted in 3 children, Charlene Marie, Nancy Jane, and Kenneth Boutin. They divorced and she married Chester E Anderson April 27 1951, they had one child me, Linnea Virginia. They lived in Aberdeen Wa.
Lola married "Doc" Vicklund. They had 3 children Magda, Karen, and Arnold. They lived in Seattle Wa.
Mrytle, Lola, Kenneth, and Madga are deceased. If you want further info on the siblings and their families I can send that info to you.
I don't live in Wi. Easton moved to Oregon where he met Jane and they moved to Aberdeen Wa. and raised their family there.
Thanks again for the info. Linnea

Yes I do. There were two Delphis Boutins. I'll start with the oldest, my great grandfather.
Delphis Boutin born 1839 (not sure where)
married Olizimas or Ohsime Gamache born 1848
Children:
Clementine (1870)
Delphis (either 1872 or 73)
Olizimas (1868 and not sure of the spelling)
Mederise (1874)
Clement (1875)
Leona (1878)
Adouilda (absolutely the wrong spelling 1880)
Delia (1883)
another child in 1885

My grandfather was Delphis Boutin and here it gets a bit murky.
He married either Helina or Evelyn or Evelina (my mom said Evelyn) not sure of the birthdate but it looks like 1885. Don't have her maiden name yet.
They had the following children:
Stanislas (1903)
Clementine (1905 although mom said she was born in 1904!)
Oledina (not sure of the spelling 1908)
Olevine (1909)
Florence (not sure of the date)
Rita (not sure of the date)
My mom Clementine said there were eight children in the family but couldn't remember who died. I can only account for 6. It gets worse because they all came to the U.S. and changed their names to Borden. Grandpa became Adolph Borden.
Anyway,
Clementine married Monroe Lake and had the following children
Sylvia (1928)
Joan (1929)
Amy (1941)
Carol (1944)
I can construct Aunt Rita's and Aunt Florence's families as well. Uncle Stanley's is a bit harder as he may have had 2 families at one time!

I don't have my great-grandfathr's siblings yet as I just got started over the weekend.
I have just started on my mother's family. My great-grandfather was Delphis Boutin and I believe his wife was a Granache. Is this a part of Antoine Boutin's line? I would appreciate any information you may have if he is related. Thanks.

Paul Boutin and Rosetta Patin

Paul Boutin and Rosetta Patin both born in Louisiana and married there. In Louisiana they had 12 children. Paul Boutin as far as we know was born illlegimate. That is the story I've been told. Paul was born 1784-1785 and Rosetta his wife was born in Breaux Bridge, La. in 1875, daughter of Antoine Patin and Eve Jamard.
If anyone has anything on this Paul Boutin, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks,
Dorothy Dammon
