I have just subscribed to the Boutte mailing list.

My interest is information on Boutte-DeGruy interrelationships. Of course I know about Francois Cesar and Marie Therese Verloin De Gruy, and also Antoine Hilaire and Marie Francoise Hyacinte [Marie Therese's sister], but I am anxious to find more on info... on these and any other connections.

I am curious as to whether anyone has any birth info on these Degruy girls or the plantations they may have lived on during their marriage to the Bouttes.

I'm also interested in any other Boutte-DeGruy marriages.

does anyone know if andre claude boutte, who was the son of a claude boutte married to jeanne ferle from Bourseville, France and the grandson of Guillaume Boutte, great grandfather Boutte emigrated to France from Holland?
I know that Andre Claude was born in bourserville, france which is in the diocese of amiens and that bourseville is a village in amiens and the church he was baptized at was notre dame and that andre claude boutte was the husband of Marie ann josephe Bodin dit miragouin. any information would be appreciated

Edouard was son of Marcelin Keller(1860 Jefferson Parish, LA) & Cora Boutte(1852 New Iberia).
Cora was daughter of Therence Boutte(1814 New Iberia) & Marie Deloni Romero(1833 St. Mary Parish, LA).

John was listed as an heir in the succession of Philomene Romero. (St. Martin Parish SUCC #5611)

I'm 27yrs old and as a youth,not too long ago I have heard stories about my family being of
Native American ancestry, and I have had a fascinationation at an early age with learning about Native American people,although growing up as an African American in the inner city(California). It wasn't until recently that i recieved all this information. My cousin in Loiuisiana has been doing research for 10yrs. My greatgrandmother Marriah Boutte was b.1868 to Euger Boutte and Elodie Rene -Boutte both are buried at Catholic Cemetary in Charenton. Their children were Charles, Pierre, Paul ,Albert, and Marriah(great grandmother) were christened at St. Peter Catholic Church on St. Peter street in New Iberia. Marriah married Joseph Dugas, Nov 4th 1893 and died 1938. This is all the current information I have. I dont know what happened to her siblings, or if they had children. Thanks for your time.Any info would be great on these people, i mean my people.

I am attempting to help a lady find out where she fits into the Boutte family. She told me she remembers that her family where on the loosing side of the suit. I am a descsndant of Francois Thisapherne Boutte through his daughter Eulalie Francisca Boutte Delery. I cannot find her family. The man is Joseph Etienne Boutte married to Euphemie Lorio. Their daughter was Mosella Mary Boutte born January 2, 1879 in Hahnville, Louisiana. She married Gustave Joseph Dempster, Jr. on June 12, 1902, Hahnville, Louisiana. She died on September 14, 1929 and is buried in VAcherie, Louisiana. Any help with who the parents of Joseph Etienne Boutte are will be helpful.

Baptiste Altazin. They had one son, Jean Baptiste, Jr who came to Louisiana (Baton Rouge) and married in 1812 to Scholastique Genevieve Arbour. His marriage certificate shows that he was born in Bayonne-Basses, Pyrenees, France.Hope you can help since I've been researching this family for about 4 years now without much luck.

Hi, I am looking for info on my gr. grandmother Marie Celena Porche. She also had a sister by teh name of Marie Edna (Etna) Porche. The both married Bouttes (Boutes) and had children. both had children. My gr. grandmother Celena later married a Perrault after Boutte. She had children that were both Boutte and Perrault. I have traced the family back to LAke Charles, Lousiana and Pointe Coupee. Their parents were Hypolite Porche and Lucille Emma Tournoir. Any info or pictures would be helpful. Last living place for either sister would be helpful. Possible connection to Chitimacha Tribe also. Please help.

WE do not have any information on my ggrandmother. We are mixed up in the gas/oil thing. We are from Jefferson Parish in fact we grew up about 5-10 miles from Boutte, LA. I also know that my grandmother had relatives that lived in New Iberia but I don't remember their names. I remember as a child going with her to New Iberia to visit a cousin. Looking for relatives of Frank R. Boutte who married a Florence Thornley-Walling. They started out in the early 1900's in Savannah, GA, then probably went to Florida, and ended up in Indiana before 1918. Frank died around 1917-1918 and Florence file in 1918 in Indiana for his Civil War Pension from the Louisanna Infantry.

I know of a black Boutte family from LAfitte , Louisiana. The descendants were a product of a relationship between Francois Thisapherne Boutte and a slave named Annette Lizzie Daniels. The children were MAry Mae Boutte married to a Justin Adams. mary was born circa 1854 in Louisiana. She died in 1929in Barataria. Her grandson is the famous jazz man Placide Adams, Jr. A very fine southern gentleman. Her brothers were Atristide, Douglas and a baby that died at birth. I have some papers on this if you are oniterested.
