Alexander is perhaps the earliest Bowe in the America's. Came to Boston area, wife Molly? and removed to Middlesex County Connecitcut by about 1658. The family centered there for several generations and then spread out to Vermont, others to Massachuesetts, New York and down the seaboard, West Virginia and probably into kentucky, others to Ohio by the 1850's
The Vermont line seems to be several men who were cousins and brothers who came to Rutland COunty in the 1780-90's. My line left Vermont for Wisonsin, where many still are, othersin that line show up in Portland Oregon. Looking for any connection to the Bowe name if this fits, especailly to Jacob Bow(e) Capt, Dan his brother. Dan Bowe's chldren were Peleg, Daniel jr (my line) and John. John reportedly came to Wisconsin with Daniel Jr. John married to Louisa? possibly nee-Byington from HInesburg Vermont adn they had a daughter. Might ahve also ended up in Illionis. Beleive John died and Loiusa went back to hinesburg, in the 1860's or so. Also any conection to the Bowe name in England back in the 1600's.
