Martha Ann Bowen was born October 06, 1851 in Mississippi, died February 09, 1930 in Atlanta, Cass County, Texas. She married James Benjamin Hobbs (b. July 06, 1849 in Montgomery, Alabama, d. March 02, 1928 in Atlanta, Cass County, Texas).

They married November 05, 1871 in Cerro Gordo, Hardin County, Tennessee. That part of the information seems fairly accurate as well as information on the decedents. What is missing is the information on James Benjamin Hobbs and Martha Ann Bowen ancestors. They are my great grandparents. We have nothing on James Benjamin Hobbs other than the birth and death dates.

We know Martha Ann Bowen's parents are John A. Bowen (b. in North Carolina) and Caroline Deadman (born in Georgia based on one set of census information). I have seen several pictures of Caroline Deadman and they are all labeled as Caroline Deadman. Family information also says she is Native American.

I have seen several references to what I think are another John Bowen and Caroline Deadman. However, the birth information does not seem to match at all.

Any help would be appreciated in tracing these ancestors.
