This is an interesting thread. I know this thread is many years old but...It's interesting to see the name variations and various forms of the surname; Boulware, Boler, Bowler, Bouler, etc.

My name is Matthew Bowler. I myself am fairly sure that William Ormskirk Bowler was my gggg grandfather. I'm still working to prove that for sure, but I might have to resort to the DNA test to be sure.
Paul Downing Bowler is my great grandfather, son of William Wilson Bowler and Mary Alice (Downing)Bowler, my gg grandparents. There are stories about how at some point, they moved to Indiana and/or Illinois. Also Paul Downing Bowler and his family eventually ended up in California, where they are all now buried.

~ Matthew Bowler
ps. and hello Mr. Wilson, we have corresponded some!
