I am trying to find the mother of Jason Walker Bowling b: 1848 in Owsley Co., KY. His father is Jesse Bowling b:1822 also in Owsley Co., KY. In the Diary of the Rev. John Jay Dickey on page 2221, Jason states that his mother is Susan Baker, daughter of Julius Baker. However, I have found matching information on a Nancy Baker b: 1823 and died in 1848 and also a Susan Walker (no dates found). All information that I have found shows Jason born in 1848 with Jesse being the father but each lists the different mother.

I know that their are several Bowlings and that several have the same names so I could use some help if anyone might know anything. My Jesse Bowling is the son of Elijah "Lige" Bowling and Susannah Roberts. So far, all the information I have found does agree on this.

So I would appreciate any information anyone might have about Jason Walker Bowling. Thanks!
