Many thanks for replying. I know very little about Amy other than she was known in Sydney for being a bit ahead of her time and rode horses fully seated rather than side saddle. I have heard that she was known to the locals as Mad Amy!

I know that her first child was born in Nova Scotia but that the family moved to London before Cissie Nichols was born circa 1879.

I don't know if Amy was divorced or died before Charles re- married and cannor find anything so far to confirm but someone out there may know!
