I am hoping someone can help me. I have a Benjamin F. Bowne (8 Apr 1874-11 Dec 1949) married to Fannie Workman (30 May 1876-30 Jun 1910). Benjamin was some type of indian, Blackfoot, Cherokee, depends on who you ask. He came from the western states on a train, apparently the first indian on one. The white people on the train wanted to kill him, but the conductor stopped them. He settled in West Virginia and had the following children: Ruby, Garnett, Bill, and Ruppert.

There is pictures in the family of Ben when he visited the reservation I assume, as it appeared to be in the southwest part of the country. Can anyone assist me with this??? The info was given to a cousin by Ben. Thanks.
