Susan Bowyer (b. 1817, Keddington, Suffolk, died 4 October 1870 in Great Thurlow, Suffolk) was my great-grandmother. Married William Gaze in 1836, 10 children, died 3 March 1884. Son, William John Gaze, and son Walter emigrated to Newfoundland, contemporary descendant in Augusta, ME. Daughter, Ellen, died in 1877, Keokuk, Iowa. My grandfather, Thomas Gaze, born in 1854, died in 1947, my father, born in Thurlow, Sussex in 1878, died in 1959 in Los Angeles. I was born in 1935 in Oakland, CA, and my brother David in Bognor Regis, UK in 1940. My father died in 1959.
