The US Census for 1880, Perry, Buchanan, Iowa has the family: Alexander Boyack b. 16 May 1833, Mains, Forfarshire, Scotland. Wife, Sarah Thompson b. 1 Mar 1829 Scotland. Children Mary A. b 1858, Illinois; Jessie b. 1859, Iowa; Martha E. b 1860 Iowa; Sarah b. 1863, Iowa; Emma b. 1865 Iowa; Anna b. Mar 1869 Iowa; William A. b. Oct 1871, Perry, Buchanan, Iowa. In the 1900 Censusshows Alexander, 70, Sarah 71 and only Anna still living with them. William A. & Elizabeth are in the 1900 U.S. Census for Jefferson, Fayette, Iowa married and with two daughters. In the 1910, 1920, and 1930 it has William A., Elizabeth, LouJean, & Beatrice in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Oklahoma.
