Kerry: My Grandfather was Henry Boyes (nee Boys) who was born in Canada and died in Texas. His family can be traced back to 1066 William the Conquerer. Most of the subsequent generations were from the Kent area. If you are not already aware of it, the book you want is "Under 37 Kings, Legends of Kent Records of The Family of Boys", by Lilian Boys Behrens, and published by The Saint Catherine Press, Stamford Street S. E., London, in 1926. My branch of the family is covered by the line "...while yet another son lives in Texas." on page 82.
