Yes, that did help. Effie Laura Potter was the third child of my great-great-grandparents, Philo and Winnie (Holland) Potter. She was born in Story County, Iowa.

If I am thinking of the correct Hattie Braae, she would have been my great grandmother on the maternal side. I don't know that her mother was Effie Yokum. We have found her to be Effie Potter, then Leonard, then Lones and on the 1900 census as Effie Brooks - she was listed as divorced. Hope this might be helpful

I have just a few Brae's in my family line and have found it impossible to get any more information about them. Here's what I have:
Eli Brae m: Debra
daughter - Eliza Catherine Brae m. Arthur Roney
Eli is buried in Jewett (or Jewell) NY
Debra is from Milligan, Monaghan County, Ireland.

Is there anyone who can connect any of these people to their line?

My Husband is also a decendant of Anders Braae. We have also exhausted our resources here in The USA. I have Anders born in Horsens Denmark on 7 of May 1840. His son Nelson Jensen Braae was born in a place called something like "Little Mille" Not sure how correct those two names are. My husbands Mother remembers her GreatGrandfather Anders. Finding Ancesters in Denmark

In putting our tree together, we have almost exhausted
exhausted the information available to us here
in the USA, and must now go to Denmark for the
remainder. OUr search takes off with ANDERS JENSEN BRAAE
AND ANNA NELSEN (NIELSEN), in Denmark from before
they immigrated to the USA. We destparately need
to know who their parent, brother, sisters were
and their parents as well, going back as far
as possible, to a man called TYCUS BRAAE, or BRAADE.
