Christopher and Bridget Bracken

If any of your Ancestry.com members have any research on this family I would like to here from them. I am researching this family and the data from the 1880 U. S. census is Chris Bracken b-1827, Ireland. Bridget Bracken born-1827, Ireland.
John J. Bracken b-1860, Missouri. William Bracken born 1862, Missouri. Christopher Bracken born 1864 Canada and Mary Jane Bracken born 1866 Canada. This is my direct line and I would appreciate any data your members have with this line. They lived in Lewistown, Missouri and from there I do not know where they lived. I am trying to find information about Ann Bracken who immigrated from Ireland in the 1850's, and married Andrew L. G. Johnson who arrived from Sweden. They did end up living in Nebraska.

Hi Eileen
Have you tried contacting the Irish Family History Foundation here in Ireland you can contact them at www.irish-roots.ie they hold hundreds of Thousand of Births Marriages And Deaths records aswell as 1901-11 census returns you have to register with them first then you can view the lists of births/Death/mariiages of for instance Catherine Bracken or Joseph Coughlin which may vary but to view an entry you will have to pay 5 Euro.
I looked at their entries For Catherine Bracken and i found from 1804 to 1840 they had 10 entries so from a later date they may have a lot more they also have a lot of entrys for joseph Coughlin so good Luck .

I have an Isaac Brackens married to a Myrtle. Isaacs father was John A Brackens b:1857 in Grayson Co Virginia, mother was Susan Matilda Callahan b:1857 Comer's Rock, Grayson, Virginia. He did indeed have an aunt named Margaret, and several other aunts and uncles.

Seeking info on Issac and his wife Myrtle. Issac's mother )or wife's second name) might have been named Daisy.

Don't have any info on their parents, where they were born or ??

Issac and all of his son's were house painters.

Issac died in Wytheville, as did Myrtle. They had a large family of 7 or 8 boys and 2 daughters.

Only daughter I remember is Ruth Moore and now lives in Wytheville. Sons Herman (Bob), oldest son, and Fred, youngest son now living in Wytheville. Had an aunt, Margaret Brackens.

Daughter of Linda (?maiden name) and Jim Brackens. born in Richmond, Virginia. Her parents were from California but living in Virginia at the time of her birth. I'm her Paternal Grandmother but have not seen Christina since she was 5, when her parents divorced and her mother moved, probably to Tarzana, CA.

Geneva Bagwell Brackens, 80, widow of Samuel Clarence Brackens, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004.
Born on July 8, 1923, in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late William Earl and Ola Nix Bagwell.
Survivors: A son, Clarence (Doug) Brackens and wife, Nora; grandchildren, Timothy A. Brackens and Peggy S. Hill; great-grandchildren, Eddie A. Hill, Samantha R. Hill and Jennifer D. Hill, all of Summerville. Predeceased: A sister, Bernice Allsept.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2004, at Graceland Cemetery, Greenville. Flowers will be accepted. -- Parks Funeral Home, Summerville.
