I'm working on my Brackett side.. Thomas b. 1803 Rutheford, NC then William Bryson b. 1835 Rutherford, NC and then William Joseph b. 1855 NC.

My biggest obstacle right now is that I know William Bryson had 3 wives - Nancy (who I think died), then Sara Panther who we think was Cherokee and then Caroline (Nancy's daughter or step daughter). I come from the Sara line. But I've seen her listed as Painter and Panther. I found other tree's showing her as Painter Panther and that took me to finding her ancestors. But if she was a Cherokee (or half Cherokee) and her name wasn't Painter, then I may have all her ancestry wrong.

does anyone know this family line and have any info that might help?

I'd also love to hear from anyone in this family line.. My dad moved from NC to WA and then had me. So I didn't grow up knowing much about my family in NC/SC.
