Your research is incredible. I have scanned through all of it and will read in detail later. Bottom line: If I can locate a descendant of James Drew Braidwood who ended up in Australia and persuade him or her to lend us some DNA, we might have more detail.Wish I had known this when I was in Australia. Slightly confused about Y chromosome as your dna would contain both x and y.(?) Would anything further be learned if I had a direct male descendant have his dna done? It might be possible to locate one of James' descendants as we are getting more contemporary.
