Just so this isn't left up in the air. Martha Bradford was born probably born in the area that came to be called West Turin, Lewis, New York since her father, Joseph Bradford born 1771, was there in 1807. She could have been born prior to his moving there in 1807. He is listed in a will for his father, Robert, as being in Westfield, MA, so she may have been born there prior to Joseph's move. Her exact birthdate is still difficult to determine.

She married Harlow Bushnell and they went on to reside in Sullivan, Madison, NY and then he is found on the census in Lisbon, Kendall, Illinois in 1850 with his in laws. He is not found with his children in 1860 and may have died but his death information is not yet known. As of this date, neither his grave nor Martha's have been found in Sullivan, Madison, NY; Lisbon, Kendall, Illinois or Saratoga, Grundy, Illinois. Their children appear to have been raised by relatives.

They were likely affiliated with the churches associated with Harlow's family. These were small start up churches with close relationships. Some of these members are noted as being a part of the underground railroad but so far it is not directly indicated for this couple.
