My records show LEWIS "W." BRADLEY on the 1830, 1840, and 1850 census, Walker Co,., AL. Old MUSGROVE family history indicates that MARGARET MUSGROVE married LEWIS WATSON BRADLEY. The 1850 census which indicated she was born in Alabama was erroneous.
MARGARET was born in Cocke County, TN 1860 census indicates she was born in TN. Ann S. Grainger, 3301 Ohara Rd., Huntsville, Al 35801, writes this paragraph in 1997.

NOTE: Margaret (Musgrove) Bradley filed a claim before the Southern
Claims Commission for damages done by Union Army during the Civil War.
Have been unable to get a copy of her claim from microfilm record. She
would have had to claim that she was loyal to the union during the Civil War. Perhaps her claim was denied. (Need to research this)

There was a Lewis Bradley in Chatham Co NC in 1791. Could he be Lewis W Bradley's father?
There was a Lawrence Bainbridge Bradley born in Sumter, SC, who married Susan Henrietta Key. It looks as if Lawrence could have been related to Lewis Watson Bradley
On the 1988 Walker County Alabama Road Map there is a community named Bradleytown. The town was named after these Bradley's.
