I just found your note. Perhaps, it is too old, but on the chance you may still be on this site, I am writing.

I too descend from Catalyntje De Vos - a direct female line descendent. However, I descend through her daughter Eva. I would enjoy "chatting" about the "family."

Also, I've had my matriarchal dna tested - HVR1, HVR2 and FMG - through familytreedna. Have you had yours tested? It would be fun to see if we actually are a match. Definitely one way to check my genealogy work... and find a "relative."
