Hello - since you are a Bragdon.... any relation to Jane Bragdon of Waltham, ME? She was born 1774 in Portland, ME and d. 1825 married to a Eliphalet Pettengill (my family tree) b 1766 Portland, ME and d. 1845 Waltham, ME.

Any info on Jane's children would be most helpful. I am mostly wondering if Jane's daughters Salome/Jane/Sabrina/Sarah had any children named William James in particular. Thanks for your help.

Looking for any male descendants of Rufus and Sarah Bragdon Derby. Rufus married Sarah in 1798 and moved to Lyman, ME I am from the Derby line and do not know anything about Sarah Bragdon. I know they had alot of children among them Elizabeth Derby Allen but I am looking for a male line, of their union. I am descended from Rufus (2) their son--but there are no males I can detect from this line-who had males, only females. Thank you.

What we have dug up is that Charles and Henry were brothers but it doesn't look like Joseph was actually the father since he may of been deceased in 1832 and the kids were born 1842 and 1843. And Elizabeth may of gotten married to a Charles M. Gutridge in 1850. I see where your gg grandfather Charles was married twice once to a Mary May Moore in 10/14/1869 b. 1843 d. unknown and they had two children that were found and then to Nannie "Annie" Bell Thomas b. 1860 d. 07/09/1884 and they had 7 children that were found. Charles died 12/07/1882 at 61yo of Heart Problems and is buried in the Confederate City Cemetery. Our cousin gave me alot of this info and the other info was recorded at the libarary in town. I do have some info on the children if you want it.

I am a Bragdon by birth and I have family buried in Berwick Maine. My grand father is buried in Berwick and his name is Bernad Bragdon (not sure of the spelling) married to Lucy (living). They had 9 children, they are all between the age range of 59 and late 30s. I believe my GG- grandparents names may have been Marchest and May Estar. I never heard about a brother but Charles Edward is my great great grandfather and his wife was Annie Bell. His parents were Joseph Edward and Elizabeth Connor married on 7/18/1825. That is all I know. Hope this helps.

Karen, I believe I have an answer for you based in James Bragdon's (m. Hettie Staten) death certificate.
James II died in 1911 in Jackson Co. According to his death certificate, his father, James I, was born in PA.
James II is buried in Glenroy, Jackson Co. OH.

Debbie - Long time no hear!! I am now back working on genealogy and would love to push back my Bragdon line from Eliza E. Bragdon (1822-1876) who married George Tripp (1822-1901). They were married December 7, 1845 in Scarboro. (We've corresponded on this before.)

Still do not have Eliza's parents. Do you have anything new?

Charles Bragdon was married to my great aunt Jennie Oliver
during the first half of 1900. She died 9-2-1952. They had no children. They lived at 1845 Michigan Ave. Niagara Falls, New York, USA. He worked on the railway between Niagara Falls, New York, and Lewiston New York USA. possibly for Pinkerton. He worked with his brother-in-law William Oliver, my grandfather.
