If you will go to my web site (www.bramblett.com) and from the Main Menu, select "Census, Soundex, Census Index".

In 1910 Saline County AR you will find a family with head of of household "Longo B" and 6 year old son Ivra. I'm now pretty sure that should be "Lonzo" vice "Longo". Ivra was born in MS but hist 2 younger sisters (age 3 and newborn) were born in AR so they must have moved from MS to AR sometime btwn 1904-1907.

In 1920, still in Saline County, AR, there is head of household "Alonzo" with son "Ivary" listed as 17.

I do not currently have access to the 1930 AR Census. Also, I have not been able to find out who Alonzo belongs to.

Ivra Bratton Bramlett

Ivra Bratton Bramlett married my great-grandmother (Beulah Jean Young) in the 1920s. They had three kids (Ruth Helen, Trennan Ivra, and Ava Jean), and Beulah, Ruth, and Trennan are listed as living with Beulah's dad (Benjamin Columbus Young) in Graham, Texas on the 1930 census. (The census lists Beulah as divorced.)

Jean was born 1908, d. 1984. Trennan: b 1927, d 1968. Ruth: b 1926, d 2009. Ala Jean b 1931.

The only two references I can find to him at all are on Trennan's death certificate and Ala's entry in the Texas Birth Index. Since Ala was born the year after the census that listed Beulah as divorced, I'm guessing Beulah and Ivra were just separated in 1930 and got back together later.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bruce Bramlett / Jacqueline Bramlett / Murbach Colorado??

HI

I am trying to find information on my grandmother and great grandfather. Jacqueline was born in 1924 in CO where her father Bruce Bramlett lived. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to get her birth records, she died when my mother was young in New Orleans but we don't have her SS# and I cannot find her in the SS death index. I don't know if she remarried. I know that Bruce went on to remarry as his first wife died when my grandmother was young.

I feel like I am searching for a needle in a haystack any help on direction on where to look or how to find information on someone that seems to have been a ghost outside of some census records when she was young would be great.

Thanks
Julie

this is so close to what I am looking for I can taste it. I am looking for Greenville Bramletts also, specifically James Franklin Bramlett. (Born about 1882) He married Bessie E. Keller, but as Family gossip tells, he ran off with no forwarding address, and she and their children had to live with her parents. He vanished. I can find nothing on him. Nothing in census records-- unless he moved to another state, remarried and lied about where he was born.........

Larkin Bramlett and Benjamin O'Bannon

I am looking for more information on Larkin Bramlett. He was born in SC ~1823, married Amanda Caroline Farrow and had 5 children in GA and AL (Sarah Jane b. 1843, m. Miles Manuel Welch; W. Harris b. 1846 m. Barbara Huffman, Thomas Malmoth b. 1847, m. Nancy Adaline Huffman, James Richard b. 1850 m. Mary J. Venable, and Colonel Wiley b. 1853 m. Lydia Staggs).

In 1850 they were living in Summerville, Chatooga, GA, but it seems they had come to Cherokee Co. Alabama by 1853, as in fall 1853 Larkin was indicted in the Cherokee County Circuit Court for the murder of Benjamin F. O'Bannon (who seems to have been born around 1827 in Alabama and to have been living in Cherokee County in 1850 with his mother Elizabeth and some siblings). The venue was changed to Benton/Calhoun County, where in Nov 1857 he was convicted. He unsuccessfully appealed (Bramlett v. the State 31 Ala. 376) and was hanged on 5 Mar 1858.

I'm looking for any more information on this case, Larkin, or Benjamin O'Bannon. Thanks for your help!
