My great grand-uncle, Filippo Colombo married Paola Branciforti in Aidone, Enna in 1909. Paola's parents (Francesco "Frank" Branciforti, Maria Grazia Puglisi) and siblings (Lucia and Stella) immigrated to the US in 1910. After settling in NYC they had a son named James (1912) and after moving to New Jersey their son Jacob (1918) was born. I found this information on the Ellis Island website and through the 1920 census.
The last name is spelled "Branciforti" on the Ellis Island website; the last name is spelled with an "e" on the on the 1920 census for Frank and his family.
I'm curious to know if anyone is related to this Branciforti/e family and if so, if anyone has come across my great grand-uncle's name in their research.
