FYI -- there seems to be a mismatch between your Jean Brand (b.1797;d.1876) and what I believe is my Jean Brand (b. 1757;d. 5 Apr 1777), even though both are daughters of a Robert Brand. I think there is a generational mismatch since my Robert Brand, b. 1725 and husband of Mary Gillespie, would have been 72 when your Jean was born.
