I am a descendant of Elias, Mathilda's brother. My grandfather, James Elias would have been Mathilda's nephew. James married Susan Amelia Thomas and had James Roy, Maisie Amelia (my mother) then Alice Alverta and Edith Elizabeth.
My records show that there were as many as 13 chn. to William Henry and Rachel Purdum.
I have a photo of "Uncle Joe" but I believe it is Joseph M. the brother of my g/f James.
I have been to the Brandenburg Meth. Church near Sykesville, Md. My mother was raised there. I understood the land was donated by Jacob B'burg, not William. However.
