William Brandenburg did marry Christina Long on 13 Sep 1806. The only difference is that it was not the same William Brandenburg you are reffering to. Whilhem Heinrich "William Henry" Brandenburg Jr married Christina Long on 13 Sep 1806. It was his third wife. His nephew William Brandenburg the child of Jacob Brandenburg that I posted married Rachel Purdum on 18 Oct 1822. As far as I have seen and as far as I know Rachel was his only wife. I have not personally checked any marriage records to confirm this, but both were married in Fredrick Co. Maryland and I have seen that LDS records do exist for both. Jacob Brandenburg and Willam Henry Brandenburg Jr. were both the chidren of Wilhem Heinrich Brandenburg Sr, the brother of Matthias Brandenburg. The family line tracks back to the 11th century. I have not seen any listing of Willam and Rachels children, but if your a decendant of his it is a long family line.
