Classification: Query
Surnames: KASENOW, BRANDT
The Kasenows came in Nov. 1864 on the ship Dr. Barth from Hamburg. They were apparently from Pomerania. In 1870, Caroline (Kasenow) and husband, Ernest Freize/Freeze were in Ecorse...and her sister, Wilhelmina "Minnie" and husband, Martin Arno were a few doors away, with their father, George (probably "George Frederick") iin their household...spelling murdered as "Cuzeno". Brother, William Kasenow was in Springwells, Wayne Co., In 1870...name spelled "Caseno," but looked like "Casens." There is also a brother, Carl, who was in Springwells in 1880.
In an obituary of one of them their sister, Mrs. Fred Brandt was said to be a resident of Dearborn in 1910.
The name was spelled with a "C" in some of those early census records.
