Linda Conley, 59, of Toledo, OH passed away on December 14, 2007, after a short illness. She was born April 29, 1948, to John and Virginia (Parker) Branford. She was an employee of The University of Toledo for 39 years before she passed, working in the Carlson Library where she was a Library Associate. Linda had a passion for children, especially her great nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Citywide Singles Group, CWA, Local 4519, and a faithful member of Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. She also held a long time affiliation with First Church of God. Her hobbies included crocheting, scrap booking, shopping and traveling. Linda was a Cadet Troop Leader for Maumee Valley Girl Scouts. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and radiant complexion. She is survived by her loving son, Jamil; mother, Virginia Branford; brothers, Gene (Emma) Branford, Terrance, Keith, and Ronald; sisters, Eleanor Weddington, Patricia (Dan) McLemore, Wanda, Catherine Pettiford, Brenda Ellison; and a host of nieces and nephews who lovingly called her "Aunt Lynn". Special cousin, Betty Allison; and special friend, Pat King Lee. Her father, John preceded Linda in death. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Wake will be Wednesday, December 19, 2007, from 5-7 p.m. at The House of Day Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rosa Morgan Adult Day Care, 1326 Collingwood Ave. Well-wishers may sign the online registry book at www.houseofday.com
