Paul Hamilton wrote in his manuscript about his life that his "mother's mother was Miss Caswell" of NC. I have found nothing on Caswell so maybe Carriere will be right! By the way, Arthur, most researchers feel that Susannah ( Wm, Mary Thomas) were the children of Ezekiel Branford his 2nd wife, Alice Bulline.
