I receive an autoresponse from Ancestry with the question, "Hi, Mark. I am a direct descendent of Jane Brann and Lewis Green Evans. You listed Jane Brann's death date as January 31, 1878. Would you be please let me know how you found her death date? Thank you, Jackie Evans Ledbetter"
For some reason, clicking on the links in the email from Ancestry.com aren't allowing me in to see where your request for info was posted. My email address is ancestorfinder@msn.com
Anyway, I don't know that I had that date. Someone must have edited the tree that I posted. For Janes (that's the spelling I found for her in census records), I actually had her death after 1880 -- [Note 6. 1880 U. S. Census, Person Co., NC, page 223c. She's a widow living with her widowed daughter and grandchildren in Woodsdale at age 68.]
If this isn't correct, please let me know. thanks
