I just checked and I have no information about Matthew Brann except that he purchased property adjacent to Jeremiah Brann and there is a Matthew mentioned in the VA revolutionary war roster.

Property deeded to Jeremiah Brann of Hamilton Co. 12-Jun-1815, range 2, twn 3, sect 18 and Matthew Brann of Warren Co. 1-Dec-1813, range 2, twn 3, sect 7. The properties turn out to be adjacent to each other.

I do not have any more details about Matthew Brann in Butler Co...this may have been your Matthew or his father. Note that it says Matthew was living in Warren Co. before purchasing the land in Butler Co. Have you checked land records in Warren Co? Warren Co wills?
