I also have a Louis Brannam in my tree. He was the brother of my grandfather William H.

A Louis Edward Brannam (L E Brannam) shows up in Texas County Missouri with a wife Amanda, Charles J. and Virgil. He was born in Indiana abt 1881. Those data points seem to align this LE Brannam as son of John Brannam and brother of my grandfather, and other brothers in Texas County, Aaron, George W, Moses, John Stephen, Charley, and sister Jennie.

A family story has Charles J. moving to California but I do not have any facts to authenticate that story.
