I need some help locating my indian heritage

Hi,

My name is Kevin Branscum. My father was WR Branscum Jr. and his father was William Ray Branscum. My grandfather was born in Arkansas. He married a woman named Remeth Harper. Her mother was Louella Ardinna Holland. There is some sketchy info that leads to her being indian. Not to mention my father remembers his grandmother (Louella) sometimes saying when she would get mad "its just the black dutch in me". Apparently Black Dutch (and black Irish) were a fictitious race that were made up by the native indians during the time of heavy persecution. They made up a new race to call themselves instead of calling themselves native indians. There are several Holland's in the Dawes Final Roll for native indians, but none have their middle names listed so i am not sure if any are related to my great grandmother. Also, it was not un-common for an indian to change their name so that they were not persecuted anymore.

Does anyone have any help they can provide on this subject?

kevin
