Brasier family NYC 1750s - 1800s
Greetings - I am trying to find out if anybody has information on a Barbara Brasher who would have been married in the early 1790s in New York.
I am really struggling to find out more information about a potential connection to this family. In November of 1804, a George & Barbara Bolander had a child named "Mary Brasher Bolander." I am a descendant of her and, not knowing the mother's surname, I have suspected it to have been Brasher due to the naming of her child.
In addition, her son was named Ephraim B. Bolander - I suspect the middle initial was also Brasher. Clearly Ephraim Brasher was a well-known individual in the city so I just have to think there is a connection.
The records I have searched have yielded no baptisms of a Barbara Brasher.
George Bolander lived very close to both Lawrence Brasher and Baker Brasher. Does anybody know if they had children and if so, what their names may be. I have been searching this for a long time and I would be extremely grateful if anybody has more information on either Lawrence or Baker's children.
Thanks -
JK
