This is probably a long-shot but I just came across your posts and was curious if you have come across any more information regarding Lahrs from Darmstadt? My great-great-grandmother was a Barbara Lahr who was born in Darmstadt around 1848 and was married to Charles Zugenbuehler near Dubuque, Iowa in the 1860's. I know nothing about her prior to her marriage, except that she came from Darmstadt, and have not been able to find any records, so when I saw your posts I wondered if it was possible she came from the same family?
Again, I know this is a long-shot, but just had to give it a try! Thank you in advance for any information you might have.
