I'm looking for any information on my Brass family line, as follows:
Thomas BRASS, b. abt. 1772 in Sandwick, Orkney, m. to Anna LINKLATER, had the following children:
1) Alexander, b. 7 January 1798, Sandwick
2) Thomas, b. 1 February 1799, Sandwick
3) James, b. 12 May 1801, Sandwick
4) John, b. 2 September 1806, Sandwick
5) William, b. 18 June 1809, Sandwick

Their oldest son, Alexander, was my gr-gr-gr-grandfather. He married Elspeth LINKLATER. Their children were:
1) James, b. 24 January 1825, Sandwick, m. to Mary DALLAS, d. 16 July, 1902, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
2) Betty, b. abt. 24 January 1830, Sandwick
3) Jannet, b. abt. 24 December 1831, Sandwick
4) Alexander (my gr-gr-grandfather), b. 13 June 1834, Sandwick, m. to Anna WHITEHEAD on 27 February 1867, d. 22 March 1919 in Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana

Alexander and James reportedly came to North America together, then James went north to Canada and Alexander went west to Indiana. Alexander fought in the Civil War in the 13th Indiana Volunteers, Company E.

Alexander and Anna's children were:
1) Frank Wallace, b. 18 December 1871, d. 17 August 1896, had one child, Frank W. BRASS, Jr.
2) James William, b. 20 March 1874, m. Mary Katherine ULMER, d. 17 February 1954, had one child, Alberta Mae BRASS, who married Clifford BODENHAFER
3) Katherine Mae (my gr-grandmother), b. 17 May 1879 in Howard County, Indiana, m. Benjamin Franklin SUTHERLAND on 6 June 1900, d. 21 April 1968 in Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana
P>4) Thomas Whitehead, b. 23 March 1884, m. Mae HAPNER, had one child, Thomas Whitehead BRASS, Jr., m. Elsie ALEXANDER, had six children: Harold, Frank Wallace, Forrest Aaron, Rosemary (m. Harold DROLL, m. John BUTLER), Herbert, and Iona (m. J. Thomas BURT), d. 19 May 1930

The children of Katherine and Benjamin "Frank" were:
1) Elspeth Cliona, b. 16 May 1901 in Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana, d. 23 July 1989 in Warren, Indiana
2) Ola Ruth (my grandmother), b. 31 December 1905 in Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana, m. Ralph Clifford HARRIS on 19 June 1927, d. 14 September 1972 in Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana
3) Rita Wanita, b. 1 January 1908, d. 14 January 1908, both in Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana
4) Ralph David, b. 31 March 1910, d. 11 June 1931, both in Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana

I know most of the information for my own direct line in the last generation, but anything on the rest would help greatly!
