Robert was the son of John Brassard and Isabella Gorrell. Only one record shoes her as Elizabeth. Her tombstone says Isabella. She was born in Ireland. Family Legend says she met him while working in a large hotel near La Malbaie. He was the gardener. Contact me at egill@iaw.on.ca

I have a photo of Theodore Brassard, 12 Oct 1922 - 1 June 1993, of Putnam, Windham, Connecticut.

He was the son of Eugene and Mildred.

His wife was Dorothy Smith, 1923-1984.

He was a friend of my husband's grandfather, Normand J. Terrien. If any of Theodore's children or grandchildren, or other relatives are out there, I would love to mail you this photo of him and Dorothy.

Like a ship without a captain, her family drifts without direction. She was the head of a very large extended family that finds itself lost. Richard and Mona were the glue that held the family together. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed, Mom was born Mona Lucienne JULIEN on February 25, 1938 in Legalle, AB and passed away on May 14, 2006 in Prince George, BC. Predeceased by her loving husband Richard BRASSARD on January 4, 2000 and her son Michael in 1988. She is survived by her children Jean (Lloyd), Yvon, Carmen (Don), Doris (Louis), Jim, Lisa (Lloyd), Sandy (Mike), 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mom was always there when anyone needed her even if it meant finding her at the local bingo hall. She was an amazing cook which she continued to do throughout her life. We are sure that she and Richard are finally together again in the garden planting and sowing all that they have grown in their years together. There will be a service on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Church at 1:00pm with Father Edgar Polotan, O.S.A..

I have a good size GEDCOM with many of my Brassard ancestors all the way back to Antoine and Francoise Mery.
My grandfather Henri Brassard and Lucienne Grondin had 28
grandchildren. It is a task to keep up with the new generations being born not to mention the research to find the people that I have no information about.

I tried to send you an email, but it came back as an error. i hope you got the message that I received the 1880 census that you sent. I would like to hear from you and my email address is: ecowen@aol.com the people that were on that census seem to be my relatives. The Victoria Brassar is my great grandmother and is a Chippewa Indian. We traced her through the annuity list from Garden River Reservation in Canada. My grandfather was the 6 year old boy on the census. I do not have any information further back than pierre Brassar who married julia Masta, who was a Jolineau. I'm not sure how to go about getting the Canadian Census, and I'm fairly new to geneology searching, so I appreciate any help you can give me. My grandfather owned property on Sugar Island called Brassar Point and they lived there until moving to Sault Ste. Marie, MI in the very early 1900's. I'd love to hear from you and exchange any information that we have. I appreciate hearing from you and if you have a current email address i'd love to communicate with you through this. I live in New Orleans at present, but do get up to the Soo quite often in the summer time.

BRASSARD - Died in Boston, Sept. 16, Lorenzo J. Brassard, husband of Emma (Tougas) Brassard, aged 70. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Archambault funeral home, 311 Pawtucket street. Funeral Thursday monring at 9 o'clock from the funeral home. At 10 o'clock at St. Jeanne d'Arc church, a solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated and burial will take place in St. Joseph's cemetery. Funeral Directors Amedee Archambault & Son are in charge.

MANCHESTER-Elizabeth "Betty" Castonguay, 94, formerly of Armory
Street, died on Friday at Harborside Northwood Healthcare in Bedford. She
was born in Franklin, the daughter of Alexander and Rebecca (Guay)
Brassard. She was raised in Franklin and moved to Manchester in 1948. She
attended St. Mary School. Castonguay worked for many years at Solomon's
Dress Shop in Franklin. She later worked in the sportswear department of
Leavitt's in Manchester until her retirement in 1973. She attended St. Paul
Church in Franklin and later attended St. Joseph Cathedral and St. Patrick
Church in Manchester. Survivors incude two daughters, Ann Brazawski of
Manchester and Janet Hansen of Philadelphia; five grandchildren; and six great
grandchildren. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at
Thibault-Neun Funeral Home in Franklin. A Mass of Christian burial will be
celebrated tomorrow at noon in St. Paul Church. Burial will be held in Holy
Cross Cemetery in Franklin in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to Catholic Charities for the work of Sister Rose, 325 Franklin St.,
Manchester 03101; Alzheimer's Association of New Hampshire and Vermont,
P.O. Box 1139, Montpelier, Vt. 05601; or to Hospice of Nashua, 22
Prospect St., Nashua 03060.

Note: I am of no relation, but my sympathies go out to those of you who are.
This is here as a lasting memorial for Mrs. Castonguay.
