There is a curious reference to Andries (Albert's son) Bratt in 1683. On the membership roll of the Reformed church in Albany, he is called "Andries De Sweed" (the Swede). This could have been a nickname or a mistake. On the other hand, it could be a clue.
There is an old, well documented Bratt family that used to live in Brattfors, Sweden. Hope this is helpful.
