Seeking information on Joseph Eugene Edward (no last name), child of Marie Poleska, slave of Edward Breaux/Braud, born 6 Jan 1858, baptized 18 Mar 1858. I believe he is the first born child of my gg-grandmother, Poleska Richard. Poleska married Norbert Richard, slave of Adam Schnexnayder.

Poleska's other children were Modeste, Theriot, and Thereze. Theriot married Clementine Tircuit and was living next door to Poleska and Norbert in 1900 census.

Thereze married Edward Tereaud, and is assumed to be the child of Edward Braud, who owned her mother.

Toussaint married Mary Blossom, daughter of Henry Blossom of South Carolina and Silva Anderson/Moore who had 3 husband.

Norbert Richard died in 1902 of pleuropneumonia and is buried in St. James Cemetery.

Noemi Richard Woodfork died in 1910 of typhoid fever.

We don't know where Poleska Braud Richard is buried.
