I'm looking for anyone who connects with the following line or who might be able to provide me with additional information.

Emanuel BRAUER married Anna Catharina BRIEL on 30 Apr 1829 in Marburg, Hessen-Nassau, [Preussen] Germany. I have no birthdates or parentage information for Anna Catharina BRIEL, however her husband, Emanuel BRAUER, was born on 26 Feb 1797, son of Joel BRAUER and Christina SCHNEIDER.

Emanuel and Anna Catharina (Briel) BRAUER had one child that I know of; she was my GGGgrandmother:
Christine BRAUER, who was born 23 Feb 1830 in Marburg, Hessen-Nassau, [Preussen] Germany.

Christine BRAUER immigrated to the United States, probably with her parents though this is currently unknown, and settled in Illinois. Her name appears as "BREWER" on her marriage certificate so the name may have been "Americanized" or perhaps it was simply an oral transcription error. At any rate, Christine BREWER married Theobald HERBERGER in Waukegan, Lake Co., IL on 12 Dec 1855. I have further descendant information on them if anyone is interested.

I am interested in finding information on the parents, siblings, and earlier ancestry of Joel BRAUER, father of Emanuel BRAUER, who was my GGGGgrandfather per the above.
