For Robert Brault

I have no connection with the Brault family, but I'm looking at the family for my wife's cousin that married a Brault spelled Breault. Her husband Donald is deceased and working back from him the path takes me to Vincent. I've been doing this for 27 years and the one thing I like to make sure of is having the correct information.

In reading your messages I get the feeling that you are relatively solid on the genealogy of the Brault Family and that's why I figured I'd ask you if the following family line sounds correct. The following family (which is incomplete and without verification) is what my resources have established and lead me to believe is true.

1. Vincent Brault born 1629 in France married about 1661 in Nova Scotia to Marie Bourg. The Child of concern is their son Pierre.

2. Pierre Brault born about 1670 in Nova Scotia married his second wife Anne Marie Leblanc about 1705 in Acadie, Nova Scotia. Some show Pierre dying in Braintree, Mass. in 1758. The child of concern is their son Joseph Brault presumably born in Nova Scotia.

3. Joseph Brault born about 1706 in Nova Scotia (?) married Elizabeth Thibodeau about 1737 in Port Royal, Acadie. The Child of concern is their son Amand Brault.

4. Amand Brault born about 1740 in Nova Scotia (?) married Marie Madeleine Dupuy. I found this marriage in the PRDH as being Jul. 18, 1767 in Laprairie, Quebec. There are some researchers showing this marriage about 1763 in Braintree, Mass. The child of concern is their son Amand Damien Brault.

5. Amand Damien Brault was born according to the PRDH on
Jul. 5, 1767 in Lapraire. The same researchers that show his parents marrying in Braintree show him being born in Braintree. Amand Damien Brault married Elizabeth/Isabelle Jacques on Oct. 16, 1786 in Contrecoeur. The child of concern is their son Amand.

6. Amand Brault was born according to the PRDH on Jan. 25, 1791 in L'Acadie, Quebec. Amand married Josephte Granger on Jan. 31, 1814 in L'Acadie. The child of concern is their son Julien Brault.

7. Julien Brault was born 1819 and he married Domithilde Cyr Feb. 1841 in Napierville the Parish of St-Cyprien. The child of concern is their son Octave Philias Brault.

8. Octave Philias Brault was born Sep. 1869 in Napierville the Parish of St-Cyprien, immigrated to Chicopee, Mass. and
married Marie Surprenant in 1892. The 9th generation is
their son Frederic Brault born in 1907 in Chicopee and the
son of Frederic is Donald who was born in 1937 in Chicopee.

Does this family line appear to be intact to the best of your knowledge and resources, minus the several dates that I still have to come up?
