Peter, My gr-uncle Anton Braun lived in Sheboygan, Wis. from 1869 to 1941, but could have been named for his uncle. Anton's father was John Baptist Braun who immigrated to the Sheboygan area circa 1866 from Bavaria.
I don't know how many brothers he had but his father who stayed in Bavaria was named Joachim.
