I have info on the James Isaac and Arminda(Anthony)Brawdy family from Adair, Iowa.
Specifically their son: James Robert Brawdy and family.
I'm not in the Brawdy family anymore but I have done quite a bit of research and put together the genealogy for my childern.

Hi there, I am writing because I too am searching for Presley Brawdy family. My grama, Helen Brawdy Lingo was the daughter of John Presley and Cora Belle. I ran into a huge wall since I started out doing the Lingo family, I got the Shagnots and Lingo's but when I tried to follow up with Gramas Brawdy side I got nothing.I don't know if I can offer anything but if you can help me with anything, I would be grateful. Doris, I too am a gggranddaugher of Granderson Brawdy, his son Isaac Edward was father to my grandfather Orland Edward Brawdy, my dad was Jimmie Edward Brawdy, all now deceased. I know it's been 5 years since your post but I have just discovered this site. I never knew there were so many Brawdy's out there.

I have a great granmother Clara Brawdy(1900-1980) she was once married to a Sylvester Brawdy he left and moved away
to California he had 4 daughters IRENE, MARION,MARGARET,and Marcella. I m seeing if may be related ? They grew up in Castle Shannon area of PGH.

Julia is related to my Severs family. This couple lived in Monroe Co., Iowa, and were married 28 April 1840, in Pike Co., Illinois. Julia was born in Posey Co., Indiana about 1822. Interesting... I stumbled onto this site today.. My mothers maiden name is Brawdy and my grandmothers married name is Delores Brawdy..she married Richard Vernon Brawdy they are divorced and I have never met him nor has most of his 5 children, he left the family and was never to be seen for years until one time in Florida years ago, we don't know his wereabouts to this day but would welcome any information. He was adopted and I am not sure of the circumstances but I know that his adopted parents had the last name of Hemphill and they were from Bridgewater, Iowa. If anyone has any pieces to this puzzle Please email me :) It would be so much appreciated.

I'm going to try something new. I'm looking for a male Brawdy born before 1840. In 1840 he was 5 years of age or younger. He is the son of James Brawdy. If you have any male born in those years, in your records, please post to the board so we all can put our heads together and see what we come up with. Maybe we all can use the information, to unmask the early census. We will start on one census and work each one together. What do you think?
