I am searching for info for my husband's grandfather, Walter Leroy Braxton, Sr. He was born 02 Oct 1922 in Florence, SC. He died in North Carolina, and resided in Teaneck,NJ for some years. There's a story that his name may have been Brockington at one time, in his younger years, though we don't know why. No info is known of his parents' names, and although I can find one census from 1930 that could be his mother and siblings, I can't be sure either. It shows his mother (no father in the home) as Jane Brockington. If anyone is familiar with this family, I'd love to hear from you!
