Michael Patrick Brazel

Michael Patrick Brazel, 83, a retired coal miner, died at 9 p.m. yesterday in his home at Stoneboro.

He was born February 11, 1864 in Kill, County Waterford, Ireland, a son of Michael and Ellen Brazel. He came to this country when he was seven years old and spent most of his life thereafter in Mercer-co. In 1894, he married Mary Elizabeth Meier, who died June 28, 1944. He was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic church of Stoneboro.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Bedaska, Ebenezer, N.Y.; Mrs. Robert Higgins and Kathryn Brazel, Buffalo, and Elizabeth, Stoneboro; two sons, Edward, Buffalo, and William, Stoneboro; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Philson, Mercer, Mrs. Anna Quimby, Mahoning Town*, and Mrs. Kathryn McCarl, Saegertown, and two brothers, Edward Greenville R.D., and Thomas, Jackson Center.

Funeral service at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Columkille's church, Stoneboro, with Rev. Ernest McIntire officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.

The body is at Waters Funeral Home, Stoneboro, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 tonight and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
