Adopted Brazill Australia??

We have recently found out that one of our great aunts may have given birth to a female child out of wedlock, possibly in the 1940's or 1950's. We believe the aunt spent time in Newcastle West during her confinement so the child might be registered there. The child was adopted.

A few years ago a woman from Australia (we think) contacted an uncle of mine to try to make contact but he denied all knowledge of any such event taking place. He was quite elderly and was possibly told never to speak of it.He destroyed the letter she sent so we have no names. The woman mentioned that he was the only BRAZILL that she had come across but this was before the internet was so widely available.

If this describes someone you know could they please get in touch through this site.

Thank you :)
