By the way, in the links added, there were additional link for various research index related to that region and I could not find Charles in it... not even in a listing for 1871... made me wonder if the family was not living in another area prior to that or may have moved around back and fort in different places.

I strongly suggest looking at their children baptism... see who the godparents were, any mention of family ties and if there might be mention of them coming from somewhere else or living somewhere else at one point or an other.... who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and find something usefull.
