I have been researching my friend's MICHIGAN Bredow/Bradow line for about a month and I have info for you I believe. If you come from the Daniel Friedrich line who was born in Bergholz New York on Feb 1, 1844, his original name was BREDOW like his father, Joachim. Daniel was a Civil War veteran and his company (not sure if it was Army etc) changed his last name for him to BRADO. I also have a email friend in Indiana by the name of Don Knopf who has alot of info on the Bergholz NY Bredows.His family is Prussian Lutheran like the original BREDOW's and they from the Bergholz NY area also.Please email me if you would like more info!
