Was this a second marriage for Ransom? I am seeking info on a Ransom D. Breedlove who was married to Susan Frances Horner. Susan died ca 1866 in Greene Co., Missouri, possibly the Springfield area.

I read your message. According to Lee, Grandma Breedlove turned her back on the reservation and never made a claim as far as he knew. She was a full blood Cherokee. He said
Wm Dillon was a big blonde/red headed german irish. He had an Aunt who had beautiful red hair. Marion had dark hair up until the time he left Tonasket in his late 80's. Have you seen the lovely story about Irvin E.Breedlove, Margaret's Dad. He had two wives, Betsey Snow and Diana Phillips. His father's name was Irvin Breedlove as well. I know some but you probably know a lot more then I do. Just trying to help. Vikki Dillon (Lee's wife).

I am a Breedlove by blood, I am also part Choctaw on my mother's side. I have never heard or seen any Native Americans claiming to be black, just so they could own property.

My grandmother was a Breedlove though she disowned me and two of her other grandchildren. I was just wondering if all of the Breedloves who have done y-chromosome have the same haplotype and if so, to what haplogroup do they belong? Have any been SNP tested?

I have a William Franklin Breedlove, born Apr. 8, 1834, son of Cornelius Vaughn Breedlove of Warren Co., KY. I found two marriage records for Cornelius - Jan. 31, 1836 to Celia Brown and Aug. 6, 1845 to Elizabeth Chrisman. My question is
(1) Did Cornelius have another wife before Celia who was the mother of William F.? (or)
(2) Was William F. the son of Celia and born out of wedlock? (or)
(3) Do I have the wrong date of birth for William F.?

James Mathews Breedlove was the son of Isham & Frances Breedlove, family shown on the 1840-1880 censuses of Hanover Co., VA. James and his family are shown on the 1900-1930 census in Hanover in Beaverdam Twp. He had 5 children by an unknown wife who died before 1900 and then 8 more by his second wife Pemberta Lucernia Willis. Hope this helps.

Sophia Lucille b abt 1910 marr George Vivion Wright Jr. 11 Nov 1929 in Henrico Co. George was the son of George Sr. & Hester Jane Trainham of Caroline Co.
Thomas Nelson b abt 1915/1920 marr Virginia Laura Bruce 9 Nov 1946 in Hanover. She was the dau of Homer Hagg Bruce & Laura Mae Carter also of Caroline Co. Also need children for these two couples.

Ambrose Breedlove

Having problems finding information about Abrose Tazwell Breedlove. He was born August 1845 in Franklin County, VA and was married to Lydia Whelchel. I found a website stating his parents were Catherine "Kitty" Wright and John B Breedlove from Virgina however I cannot find any information proving this. Also claims his first wife was Martha Murphy in 1868 but cannot find backup information either. I have census records from 1870, 80,90 and 1900 placing him in Hamilton County, Indiana and a 1920 census that he was in Scott County, Indiana. He died in 1927. Any help on Ambrose's parents and first wife is appreciated.

I'm having trouble finding information about my great-grandfather, John Henry Quire. I know he was born around July 22nd, 1890 in Frankfort, Kentucky. He married Lillian Smith on Jan 25, 1915 in Marion County, Indiana. Died October 1968 in Marion County, Indiana. Besides the 1920 and 1930 census record and a WW2 Draft card, I cannot find out any information about him. Would really like to know who his parents are. Also have social security number if that helps.

I was told Andrew Ford was probably fathered by a white slave owner, Joseph Breedlove, last account of him was in Red River County Tx I called a Breedlove in Clarksville Tx, and he did not know anything. He was African American Email me if you like

as far as I know no one in my line was born deaf but several had hearing loss later in life that's how my great grandfather died he was hit by a train because he couldn't hear it coming

There is no evidence that James was a brother of Charles Breedlove. To the contrary all deed records for James indicate he was born c1720 and therefore most likely a son
of Charles and Mary.

impossible to place your family with any of the Breedlove
line. You fail to state whether Breedlove was Martha's maiden name or her married name or who her husband was. More information would help to identify your Breedlove family.

Anderson lived past 1870 since he is on the 1850, 1860 and 1870 census in Wilson Co. All 7 children are by his first wife Lucinda Horn who he married 3 Feb 1841, She died before 1858
as he remarried to Mourning Gorley 25 Apr 1858 in Saline Co.,
Illinois where he was visiting his mother Sarah Trevelian Breedlove who had remarried to David Barnhill Glass after her husband Thomas Carr Breedlove died in 1827. Hope this helps.

I think you mean Irving Breedlove, born 9 Jan 1920 in Granville Co., NC, son of Eulis Leon Breedlove, born 18 July
1897 in Granville and died Mar 1984 in Talladega, Alabama.
This line traces back to John Breedlove born c1745 in Virginia.

There was no John Harden Breedlove born in Virginia. There was a Rev.John Harding Breedlove born in 1802 in Charlotte Co,
Virginia who died in Drew Co., AR in 1870, but he was not your
ancestor. He was the brother of Benjamin Harding Breedlove who
was the father of Ransom Smith Breedlove.

You have been a great help. I could not make the tie from Anderson C to Thomas Carr Breedlove. The records were there, I just didn't know where to look. This now takes my lineage back to the original Charles Breedlove.

My great grandfather name was henry breedlove he had a daughter named ella also known as vester breedlove( which was my grandmother ) she had brothers on his side and a brother by on ehr motehrs mattie's side named jesse.

I do not know if this is the same henry breedlove we may be htinking of two diffrent people my families ethinicity is black with naitve american we are trying to discoverwhat tribe we belong to becuase my grandmother died and we havent ofudnehr roll card. But some of her hcdilren knwo but they are not disclosing hte information due tot heri own negativiety, but this is apaprt of our chidrlens and their chidlrens history which is why we are trying to locate our fmaily history. The Breedlove Family that I am currently researching came from Virginia. They then traveled to Georgia and from there ended up in Monticello, Drew County Arkansas. Some of them departed there and went further south into Arkansas. I haven't found any of the Breedloves that I have researched to be from South Carolina. But they possibly could have. One of my ancestors from Virginia was John Harden Breedlove, and my Great-Great Grandfather was Ransome Smith Breedlove. I am currently still researching them. Maybe they are distantly related.

I remember hearing of Fannie years ago. Possibly from you. There is a possibility that my grandfather Laura spoke of was on her husband's side of our family. Have you came across any information on the Freeman's that also lived in Arkansas and Oklahoma? Well Robert Sr. has 4 children the two oldest are Robert Jr. and Hope (with the same woman) then Robert Sr. met my mom at his job and had me...they were married for insurance reasons I believe? Then he had one more Aireal with a different woman. I have met Dianna Honeycutt from Ohio and a few of her kids, but that is it...I had heard my Dad had several brothers??? Is one of them your Father? I live in Michigan.

Thank you for your response. I don't know if this is the same Henry or not. I am not acutally related to the Breedloves, but, rather to Henry's third wife. I do not know if there is any American Indian heritage or not. I have been trying to locate my gggreatgrandmother, Margaret Little Duke, after the Civil War and feel quite certain that she has married Mr. Breedlove, but I have no further information on the Breedlove family.

I had a cousin Irvin Breedlove, he passed several years ago. in NC. His father was Ulysis Breedlove who was born in NC and moved to Alabama.
