Edith M. (Simon) Breitenstein, 90, of Spring Hill, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008. Beloved mother of Edith Joseph (Charles), of McCandless, Edward (Linda) of Clark's Mills, Karen Hawes (Richard), of Florida, and the late Francis (survived by his wife, Dorothy); proud grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 14. Edith retired from H.J. Heinz Co., where she was an employee for almost 20 years. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., Pittsburgh. Mass of Christian Burial at noon Wednesday in Most Holy Name Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to UPMC Children's hospital or the Animal Rescue League of Western PA.
