Eustace Breman

Ruth Langwell Walker  (View posts) Posted: 23 May 2000 7:42PM GMT
I am interested in finding information on a Eustace Breman, one of the Youths that survived the LaSalle Colony massacre at Matagorda Bay. He was last heard of in 1687. It was stated that he was a youth from Paris, and was in the company of another from Italy, and also two boys and their sister, children of the Talon family whose parents were killed by Indians at Matagorda. There are several accounts I have seen of him, but one spells his last name Bremen, which seems to be of German origin, so it seems more likely that it would be spelled Breman, as it was said he was from Paris. Would appreciate any help in locating information...Ruth
