Looking for the parents and siblings of Hildegard Breman born abt 1904 in Iowa. In the 1910 census she is shown as being in a boarding school, the Our lady of Angels Seminary, Washington Street in Clinton Iowa. Her parents are shown as having been born in Iowa as well.

Several other Bremans appear to be there as well, Estelle 13, Albertine 11, Dorothy, 8, Mary, age 9.

In about 1919 she marries Charles Cedric Wooten (from Arkansas) in Idabel Town McCurtain, Oklahoma (they are there in the 1920 census). They are still in Mc Curtain in 1930 and the couple then have a 9 year old daughter Charlene Wooten (born May 17, 1920).

If any of this is familar or you can add to the information that I have I look forward to hearing from you.

I am interested in your "Breman" family web site. You may have heard from a few of my relatives. As far as I am aware, we have traced back our lineage mainly to Breman's that have lived in the western Pennsylvania area, and not much is known before that.
Hi Joe,

You may have met John, my husband who is from Asheville, Dorthey Fligels son. I recently returned from Atlanta with my son Zachary who attended the Lindamood-Bell language clinic in the Atlanta area, we were there for 8 weeks. I saw Carol and Bob Nemo several times and your Grandfather once. He looked pretty well consdering what he has been through. Our email address is hflig@home.com. Please write us directly and we can exchange information. I have been doing genealogy research for several years now on my side of the family and I wanted to help John put his side together. Did you attend the Breman reunion here about six years ago? If so we met, but I am certain you have met John in the past. Write us. Sincerely Helene

Eustace Breman

I am interested in finding information on a Eustace Breman, one of the Youths that survived the LaSalle Colony massacre at Matagorda Bay. He was last heard of in 1687. It was stated that he was a youth from Paris, and was in the company of another from Italy, and also two boys and their sister, children of the Talon family whose parents were killed by Indians at Matagorda. There are several accounts I have seen of him, but one spells his last name Bremen, which seems to be of German origin, so it seems more likely that it would be spelled Breman, as it was said he was from Paris. Would appreciate any help in locating information...Ruth

Bremans is a typical flemish name (Belgium) in the province Limburg.
Bremans is well know in the city of Tongeren. The name comes from describing people coming from the city of Bree (Bree - man) at the dutch border.

Friendly Yours.

Andre Bremans - brandy@yucom.be - www.newhansa.netfirms.com
Flanders/Belgium/Europe.
